Like many modern love stories, Lexie and Flo first met through the dating app, Hinge. After messaging for a month and connecting on interests and hopes and dreams, they met up! The month of online communication helped them feel comfortable with each other in person and their story continues from there!

I'll let Lexie tell you how their proposal went!

"The proposal was full chaos, meaning it was authentically us. We had just hiked up to a beautiful alpine lake in Colorado, one of Lexie's favorite hikes, and were enjoying the views. After sitting for a while and eating our snacks, Flo turned and very casually asked if I would marry him. Lexie, thinking Flo was just f*cking with her, said "yeah yeah sure whatever"...until she realized Flo was being serious. He got down on one knee (to validate he was being serious), and asked again. Flo felt compelled in that moment, so he did not have a ring or a plan...As we hike down (Lexie floated), we decided to go ring shopping immediately after the hike, then went back to the vacation house, where we shared the news with my parents."

I just love how spur of the moment their proposal was! Flo knew it was the perfect moment and didn't let something like not having a ring on him stop him from asking the person he loves to spend forever with him.

When Lexie and Flo decided to elope, they knew they wanted their day to be focused on them. Since Flo is from France and Lexie is from the U.S., it makes throwing a wedding much more difficult. Rather than deal with all that stress and logistics, they opted for eloping and focusing on their special day with just the two of them.

Flo and Lexie had an eight hour day filled with love, laughter, and beautiful views! Their elopement day started with them getting ready at their hotel in San Francisco (which was the cutest boutique hotel). They wanted the finishing touches of them getting ready to be captured and then they did a first look in their room. After some more portraits of them around there (which was such a beautifully decorated room) we headed out to City Hall for their ceremony.

Lexie and Flo decided to get married at City Hall because of the beautiful architecture as well as the convenience of getting married there. After the ceremony we took some photos around the stunning building!

After our time at City Hall, we drove up to Point Reyes! Once arriving at our first spot there we were met with a solid wall of fog, so we decided to pivot! (That's why we gotta be prepared for anything! But fog in SF and up and down the coast is not uncommon. Keep that in mind if you're thinking of eloping in San Francisco - especially in the summer.)

Lexie and Flo love nature and often go hiking and spend their time outdoors, so they knew they wanted to have a gorgeous view while sharing their vows!

The fog blocked the view at Point Reyes but thankfully we had time in our schedule to go to a different location! I always recommend having buffer time for situations such as this! (Plus that's the joy of eloping - having a stress-free, relaxed day!)

I knew of a location less than an hour down the road that still offered cliff views which was important to them! We also knew from the drive up to Point Reyes that that area seemed to not be hit with fog so that's where we headed!

This gorgeous cliffside field overlooking the ocean was perfect! We got to see the sunset and experience some of golden hour before the fog fully rolled in!

Lexie and Flo's elopement day was amazing. From intimate moments getting ready and seeing each other for the first time in their wedding attire to the joyful moment of saying "I do" at city hall in front of two close friends and then to the sweet, loving moment of sharing their vows on the cliffs or Northern California! I am so grateful I got to experience this day with Lexie and Flo and document every moment for them.
